German teenager kills 15 and self today, Alabama shooter kills 10 plus self yesterday, and three days ago man kills pastor mid-sermon before failing to kill himself.

I don’t even have to mention the mass-murdering Islamic extremists. (It’s time we started calling them what they are. The label “terrorist” gives them a distinction from the likes of Jeffrey Dahmer that they do not deserve.)

My theory is that these murders result from the increasing secularization of our country and the world in general. (Also among the headlines this past week was a study revealing that the number of Christians in the United States has decreased 11% in the past 19 years.)

In a world where people passionately fight for the right to teach our children that the only things separating them from the chimps are a couple branches on the evolutionary tree, it should come as no surprise that people are, with more and more frequency, killing not only themselves but also loved ones and innocent bystanders. Is there any reason in a Godless world that the death of a human should be more consequential than that of an ant?

(I’m familiar with the protests that life can hold meaning for agnostics and athiests. Save it for the masses who are stupid enough to believe it.)

Again because of money. Killer said it was more honorable for him to kill his entire family (wife, mother-in-law, and 3 sons) than just himself.

A great editorial by Patrick J. Buchanan on Investor’s Business Daily’s website has me convinced I’ve been too kind to Obama. Using a restaurant-owning married couple as an example:

At year’s end, the couple find they have actually made a profit of $500,000 that they can take home in salary. What is the Obama-Schwarzenegger tax take on that salary? Their U.S. tax rate will have hit 39.6%. Their California income tax will have hit 9.55%.

Medicare payroll taxes on the proprietor as both employer and salaried employee will be $14,500. Social Security payroll taxes for the proprietor as both employer and employee will be $13,243.

In short, U.S. and state income and payroll taxes will consume half of all the pair earned for some 8,000 hours of work.

From that ravaged salary they must pay a state sales tax of 8.25%, gas taxes for the 50-mile commute, and tens of thousands in property taxes on both their restaurant and home.

And, after being pilloried by politicians for having feasted in the Bush era, they are now told the tax deduction they get for contributing to the church is to be cut 20%, while millions of Obama voters, who paid no U.S. income tax at all, will be getting a tax cut — i.e., a fat little check — in April.

If you think that anybody should be giving half of their income to the government, you are socialist scum. Get off my site.
