Mark Sanford: SHUT UP

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

YESTERDAY.

The Republican Party, your wife, and your four sons thank you in advance.

Classic Barney Frank

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

If you watch him in action, you’ll notice his M.O. is verbal bullying–intimidating people into silence by speaking over them and feigning indignation. He’s in top form here as he first interrupts the interviewer, then complains that he is being interrupted. Usually he concludes with accusing his opponent of doing what he is blatantly doing himself–”attacking, interrupting, being disingenuous, etc.”

Unfortunately I could no longer find the full exchange of the following video, but this will suffice. I disagree with Mr. Frank on just about everything, but I have to admit the guy has a way with words. Watch as (once he finally pretends to be answering the question) he launches into a “blizzard of words” (ty Charlie Gibson) to try to confuse and amuse the audience into thinking he’s in the right.

Cindy Sheehan continues to disgrace her son’s memory

Monday, June 8th, 2009

Today two groups of protesters gathered at former President Bush’s Dallas home. One group was led by delusional “activist” Cindy Sheehan, the other led by people that rightfully think she should take whatever scraps of sanity she might have left and channel her energies into *anything* except her ongoing quest to disgrace the former President, countless numbers of our servicemen and their families, and even her own son’s memory.

When I heard about her planned protest this weekend, I really didn’t feel a need to comment on it in any way. I cannot begin to grasp the sorrow of losing a child, and as such I will not bother saying she needs to “get over it” or “move on.” She should feel free to mourn her son’s death every day for the rest of her life if she is so inclined. However, I do take issue with her calling our former president a “mass murderer,” as she reportedly did at today’s protest. I don’t know why it bothers me, considering in the past she’s described him as the “worst terrorist in the world” and “worse than Osama Bin Laden.”

In 2006 Sheehan said she would rather live in Socialist Venezuela than under Bush as President, and she presumably feels the same way about Obama, because her hatred extends across party lines towards anybody who in any way supported or supports the war in Iraq.

I think we should start a fund to get her there. I think there would be people willing to cover the entire cost of her move just to get her to go away. So Cindy–it’s time to put our money where your mouth is, so to speak. What say you–will you take an all-expenses paid one-way trip to Socialist Venezuela if we can get the funds together? I don’t even think it would take a week.
